This functions as swipe, except that your CMB for this power also benefits from Attraction to the Material. Additionally, the bearer gains the scent ability, but only when smelling coins, jewelry, or creatures wearing a significant amount of coins or jewelry.īase Focus Power: All occultists who learn to use this panoply gain the following focus power.Ĭollect Relic: As a standard action, you can expend 1 point of mental focus to proclaim ownership of an item within 30 feet. The panoply’s bearer gains the benefits of this power until the occultist refreshes his focus.Īttraction to the Material: The bearer of the panoply gains a +1 bonus on Appraise, Sleight of Hand, Disarm and Steal maneuvers (including the CMB for the Collect Relic power, see below), and to his Strength score when determining carrying capacity for every 3 points of total mental focus invested in all of the associated implements, to a maximum bonus equal to half the occultist’s level. Resonant Power: Each time the occultist invests mental focus into all of the associated implements, the panoply grants the following resonant power. Implements: goggles (divination), weapon (transmutation), and lantern (conjuration). This panoply is associated with the power contained in objects, and those who amass vast collections of various trinkets. Any feedback is welcome like number tweaks, whether anything is way underpowered or overpowered, other ideas for a Focus Power, etc. To further tie him into the setting, he has the Artifact Hunter campaign trait, and in his backstory I made up something about how he lived with the "primitive tribe" of ratfolk west of the Dirt Sea and was taught more sophisticated ways of living by the human Molthuni Pathfinder living with them.Īnyway, my GM encouraged me to come up with a custom occultist panoply that would work with this character theme. His level 1 implements were goggles (divination) worn by his grandfather as he braved the Dirt Sea in Belkzen on trade routes and stuff, and his clan leader's old hopeknife (transmutation), a tradition that people in the small human town of Trunau hold to tightly. He's a bit of a wimp, but he's very fun to play I'm trying to model him loosely after the Darkest Dungeon Antiquarian, just being a hoarder whose solution to most problems is to either reach into his bag or find something in the environment to help. I'm playing in the Giantslayer AP (no spoilers please), and my character is a ratfolk occultist.
